Noun : The Case

क्या है Case? यह वाक्य के अन्य शब्दों के साथ संज्ञा / सर्वनाम के संबंध का नाम है।

What is the Case? It is the name of the relation of noun/pronoun with other words of the sentence. Types : (1) Nominative/Subjective Case, (2) Objective Case & (3) Possessive Case (4) Vocative Case

Nominative/Subjective Case

जब किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम का प्रयोग वाक्य में सब्जेक्ट के रूप में किया जाता है, तो इसे Nominative / Subjective Case कहा जाता है।

When a noun or a pronoun is used as a subject in a sentence, it is called Nominative/Subjective Case.

Objective Case

When a noun or a pronoun is used as an object in a sentence, it is called Nominative/Subjective Case.

Vocative (संबोधन)Case

जब किसी व्यक्ति या व्यक्तियों के समूह को संबोधित करने के लिए एक संज्ञा या सर्वनाम का उपयोग किया जाता है, तो इसे Vocative Case कहा जाता है।

When a noun or a pronoun is used to address a person/group of persons is called Vocative Case.

कनिका, इधर आओ। (इस वाक्य में 'कनिका' एक Vocative Noun है, क्योंकि वह संबोधित है)	Kanika, come here. (In this sentence 'Kanika' is a Vocative Noun, as she was addressed)
ललित, कहाँ जा रहे हो?	Lalit, where are you going?
सोनू, यहाँ बैठो।	Sonu, sit here.
अमन, मुझसे दूर मत जाओ।	Aman, Don't go away from me.
भाइयों और बहनों, हम अपने सैनिकों को सलाम करने के लिए यहां एकत्र हुए हैं।	Brothers and sisters, we have gathered here to salute our soldiers.

Possessive Case

जब किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम का प्रयोग किसी वाक्य में कब्ज़ा या स्वामित्व दिखाने के लिए किया जाता है, तो इसे Possessive Case कहा जाता है। Possessive Nouns स्वामित्व या कब्जे या दो चीजों के बीच का संबंध दर्शाते हैं। हम कब्जे या स्वामित्व दिखाने के लिए Preposition "of" और "Apostrophe ('s)" का उपयोग कर सकते हैं। कब्जे या स्वामित्व दिखाने के लिए जीवित और गैर-जीवित संज्ञाओं के लिए 'of' प्रयोग किया जा सकता है लेकिन अपोस्ट्रोफ ('s) का उपयोग जीवित संज्ञाओं के लिए किया जाता है। आइए निम्नलिखित उदाहरण देखें:

When a noun or a pronoun is used to shown possession or ownership in a sentence, it is called Possessive Case. Possessive Nouns show ownership or possession or a relationship of belonging between two things. We can use the preposition "of" and "Apostrophe ('s)" to show possession or ownership. The preposition 'of' can be used for living and non-living nouns to show possession or ownership, but Apostrophe ('s) is used for living nouns. Let's look at the following examples:

मोना लिसा का रहस्य।	The secret of Mona Lisa.
मोना लिसा का रहस्य।	Mona Lisa's secret.
खुशबू की सेल्फी।	Khushboo's selfie.
एक वृक्ष की एक शाखा।	A branch of a tree.
किताब का कवर।	The cover of the book.
कुत्ते की पूँछ।	Dog's tail.
