10. Cumulative Adjectives

संचयी विशेषण दो या दो से अधिक विशेषण हैं जो एक संज्ञा का वर्णन करने के लिए एक दूसरे पर निर्भर करते हैं। उन्हें अल्पविराम (,) से अलग नहीं किया जा सकता है और एक विशिष्ट क्रम में व्यवस्थित करने की आवश्यकता है। यदि हम संचयी विशेषणों के क्रम को बदलते हैं, तो वाक्य का कोई अर्थ नहीं होगा। Cumulative Adjectives को Non-Coordinate Adjectives के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।

Cumulative adjectives are two or more adjectives that depend on each other to describe a noun. They cannot be separated by commas (,) and need to be arranged in a specific order. If we change the order of the cumulative adjectives, the sentence will have no meaning. Cumulative Adjectives are also known as Non-Coordinate Adjectives.

Let's look at the following examples:

हरा क्रिसमस का पेड़।	Green Christmas tree.
क्रिसमस हरा पेड़। - उनका स्थान बदलने के बाद गलत लगता है।	Christmas green tree. - sounds wrong after changing their order.
हरे रंग का कचरा ट्रक।	A green garbage truck.
कचरा हरे ट्रक। - उनका स्थान बदलने के बाद गलत लगता है।	Garbage green truck. - sounds wrong after changing their order.
राजकुमारी के सुंदर, सफेद दांत थे।	The princess had beautiful white teeth.
राजकुमारी के सफेद सुंदर दांत थे।	The princess had white beautiful teeth.
अंतिम वाक्य गलत लगता है क्योंकि 'सफेद' शब्द 'दांत' की विशेषता बताता है और इसे संज्ञा शब्द 'सुंदर' के बदले 'दांत' से अधिक नज़दीक होना चाहिए। हम सुंदर और सफेद के बीच एक अल्पविराम भी नहीं जोड़ेंगे, क्योंकि खूबसूरत शब्द सफेद दांतों का एक साथ वर्णन कर रहा है।	The last sentence seems wrong because the word 'white' denotes the characteristic of 'tooth' and it should be closer to 'tooth' than the noun word 'beautiful'.We also won't add a comma between beautiful and white, as beautiful word is describing white teeth together, cumulitively.
उसके पास एक चांदी धातु रंग की स्पोर्ट्स कार है।	He has a silver metallic coloured sports car.
प्रियंका ने दो सूचनात्मक चैनलों की सदस्यता ली है।	Priyanka has taken subsciption of two informative channels.
आज रात एक पूर्ण रोशन चाँद है।	There is an illuminating full moon tonight.
