2. Adverbs of Place

Adverbs of Place हमें उस दूरी के बारे में भी बताते हैं जहाँ वर्ब की क्रिया हो रही है। जैसे faraway, nearby, kilometres away, meters apart etc.

Adverbs of Place also tells us about the distance where the action of the verb is taking place. Like faraway, nearby, kilometres away, meters apart, etc.

क्या रितु का नया कार्यालय पास में होगा?	Is Ritu's new office going to be nearby?	nearby
पंकज की अपनी बाइक पर की सड़क-यात्रा उसे दूरदराज के स्थानों पर ले जाएगी	Pankaj's road trip on his bike will take him to faraway places.	faraway
दुर्घटना से पहले दोनो ट्रक कुछ इंच अलग ही चल रहे थे।	The two tucks were moving inches apart before the accident.	inches apart

Adverbs of Place मुख्य वर्ब के बाद या वाक्य में मुख्य ऑब्जेक्ट के बाद रखे जाते हैं।

Adverbs of Place are placed mostly after the main verb or after its main object in the sentence.

वाक्य	Sentence	Adverbs
नीति यहां आओ और आपका पुरस्कार दिखाओ। (मुख्य वर्ब के बाद।)	Niti come here and show your award. (after the main verb.)	here
टोकरी को टेबल के नीचे रखें। (ऑब्जेक्ट के बाद)	Keep the basket under the table. (after the object)	under
वर्तिका एक जेट की तरह अंतिम रेखा (फिनिशिंग लाइन) की ओर भागी। (मुख्य वर्ब के बाद)	Vartika ran towards the finishing line like a jet. (after the main verb)	towards

जब Prepositions को common adverbs के साथ जोड़ा जाता है तो वे adverbial phrase बन जाते हैं।

When Prepositions are combined with common adverbs they become adverbial phrases.

हेमंत बस स्टैंड के पास इंतजार कर रहा था।	Hemant was waiting by the bus stand.	by the bust stand
डाकघर वहां पर है।	The post office is over there.	over there
पर्यावरणविद जंतर मंतर में प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे।	The environmentalists were demonstrating at Jantar Mantar.	at Jantar Mantar
