Consonant 's' का उच्चारण 'ज़'।

अक्षर जिनसे पहले 's' आता है और उच्चारण 'ज़' का होता है वह हैं - 'b, d, g, l, m, n, ng, r, v, y'। जब 's' को दो स्वरों के बीच रखा जाता है तो भी यह 'ज़' जैसा लगता है जब 'e और es' के बाद 's' आता है वहाँ भी व्यंजन 's' का उच्चारण 'ज़' होता है।

Words in which 's' is preceded by, 'b, d, g, l, m, n, ng, r, v, y, there 's' sounds like 'z or 'ज़'. When 's' is placed between two vowels then also it sounds like'z'. When 's' comes after 'e and es' there also consonant 's' sounds like 'z'.
