Should/Ought To

'Should and Ought To' दो अलग प्रकार के Modal वर्ब है जिन्हें ज्यादातर परिस्थितियों में परस्पर बदला जा सकता है। कर्तव्यों, दायित्वों, सुझावों और सिफारिशों के बारे में बात करने के लिए सलाह देने और लेने के लिए 'Should and Ought To' का उपयोग किया जाता है। दोनों आमतौर पर संभावना के बारे में बात करने के लिए उपयोग किए जाते हैं जब किसी के कार्यों को सही करने या आलोचना करने की कोशिश की जाती है।

'Should and Ought To' are two different types of modal verbs that can be interchanged in most circumstances. Both 'should and ought to' are used to give and take advice, to talk about duties, obligations, suggestions and recommendations. Both are commonly used to talk about probability when trying to correct or criticize one's actions.

What's the difference between 'should and ought to'?

'Should' का प्रयोग 'Ought to' की तुलना में अधिक व्यापक रूप से किया जाता है जो कि बहुत ही औपचारिक और गुज़रे जमाने का माना जाता है। आधुनिक अंग्रेजी बोलने वाले इससे बचने को प्रवृत होते हैं लेकिन विक्टोरियन साहित्य में 'ought to' का व्यापक इस्तेमाल हुआ है। 'Ought to' के साथ प्रशनात्मक वाक्य दुर्लभ है।

'Should' is more widely used than 'Ought to' which is considered very formal and of a bygone era. Modern English speakers tend to avoid it, but in Victorian literature 'ought to is widely used. Interrogative sentences with 'ought to' are rare.

हालांकि दोनों शब्दों के अर्थ समान हैं और एक दूसरे के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त हो सकते हैं, लेकिन शब्दों के अर्थ में कुछ अंतर है।

Although both words have similar meanings and can be used interchangeably, there is some difference in the meaning of the words.

Should Ought To
1. Should' is a modal verb. Ought to' is a semi modal verb.
We do not use infinitive 'to' with 'Should'. Look at the following sentences: Ought to is mostly used with infinitive 'to' as it is a modal verb as well as semi Modal verb. Look at the following sentences where 'ought' is used without 'to'
