Active & Passive Voice

Sentences are of both Active Voice and Passive Voice. We have so far learned about Active Voice sentences. To understand what is Active Voice and Passive Voice, let's know the meaning of Voice.

Voice

वाक्य Active Voice और Passive Voice के होते हैं। हमने अब तक Active Voice वाक्यों के बारे में सीखा है। Active Voice और Passive Voice क्या है, यह समझने के लिए, आइए Voice के अर्थ को समझें। वाक्य सक्रिय आवाज और निष्क्रिय आवाज दोनों के हैं।

वर्ब की Voice बताती है कि क्या कर्ता कार्य निर्वाहक है और एक्शन पर कार्य करता है या उस पर कार्रवाई की जाती है और वह एक्शन का रिसीवर है।

Types of Voice

There are two types of Voices (1) Active Voice (2) Passive Voice

Active Voice

एक्टिव वॉयस में, सब्जेक्ट और वर्ब के बीच सीधा रिश्ता होता है। सब्जेक्ट एक्शन करता है और ऑब्जेक्ट वर्ब के एक्शन को प्राप्त करता है। मुख्य फोकस सब्जेक्ट पर रहता है।

In the Active Voice, there is a straight relationship between the subject and the verb. The subject performs the action, and the object receives the action of the verb. The main focus remains on the subject.

Example:

राम ने रावण को मारा।	Ram killed Raavan.
सब्जेक्ट 'राम' है, एक्शन 'मारना' सब्जेक्ट 'राम' द्वारा किया जाता है और ऑब्जेक्ट 'रावण' एक्शन को प्राप्त करता है और मारा जाता है। ध्यान राम पर केंद्रित है।	Subject is 'Ram', action 'killing' is performed by the Subject 'Ram' and the Object 'Raavan' receives the action and got killed. The focus is on Ram.

Passive Voice

पैसिव वॉइस में वर्ब का एक्शन सब्जेक्ट को प्राप्त होता है। सब्जेक्ट और ऑब्जेक्ट की भूमिकाएँ उलट जाती हैं। पैसिव वॉइस में, सब्जेक्ट सक्रिय परफॉर्मर नहीं है, अपितु एक्शन निष्क्रिय रूप से उसके द्वारा किया जाता है। मुख्य ध्यान क्रिया पर है और यह महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है कि कौन क्रिया करता है।

In Passive Voice, the action of the verb is received by the subject. The roles of Subject and Object are reversed. In Passive Voice, the subject is not an active performer, but the action is performed passively by it. The main focus is on the action, and it is not important who performs the action.

Example:

रावण मारा गया राम द्वारा।	Raavan was killed by Ram.
Active Voice वाक्य का ऑब्जेक्ट 'रावण' सब्जेक्ट बन गया है। एक्शन 'मारना' सब्जेक्ट 'राम' द्वारा किया गया है और मुख्य ध्यान कार्रवाई पर है।	The Object of the Active Voice sentence 'Raavan' has become Subject. The action 'killing' is performed by the subject 'Ram' and the main focus is on the action.
