Yes/No Type Questions
The questions, answer of which can be given in Yes or No, are known as Yes/No type questions. Yes/No type questions start with Helping Verbs (Is, Are, Am, Was, Were, Has, Have, Had, Will, Shall, May, Can, Would, Should, etc )
Ve prashnA jinakaa uttar Haan yaa Naa meiN diyaa jaa sake, Yes/No prakaar ke prashnA kahalaate hai. Aise prashnA sahaayak kriyaa - Helping Verbs (Is, Are, Am, Was, Were, Has, Have, Had, Will, Shall, May, Can, Would, Should, etc )
se shuru hote hai.
|Kyaa tum office jaa rahe ho?||Are you going to office?|
|Kyaa tum use jaanatee ho?||Do you know him?|
|Kyaa India Jeet gayaa?||Did India win?|
|Kyaa tum mere paas aaoge?||Will you come to me?|
|Kyaa baahar ThanD hai?||Is it cold outside?|
|Kyaa barsaat ho rahee thee?||Was it raining?|
|Kyaa vah paagal ho gayaa hai?||Has he gone mad?|
|Kyaa maiN andar aa sakataa hoon?||May I come in?|
|Kyaa tum 200 siDiyaaN chaDh sakate ho?||Can you climb 200 stairs?|
|Kyaa vah tumhe roj phone karataa hai?||Does he ring you up daily?|
|Kyaa vah roj tumhaare saath jaatee hai?||Does she go with you daily?|
|Kyaa usakee shaadee ho gai hai?||Has he got married?|
|Kyaa tum mujhe apanaa dost nahee maante?||Don't you treat me your friend?|
|Kyaa tum us laDakee ko nahee ghoor rahe ho?||Aren’t you staring at that girl?|
Yes/No type questions can be positive or negative. While giving answers, after Yes or No, the sentence is also repeated by few persons depending upon the mood and circumstances e.g. Question - Did she come to see you yesterday? Answer - Yes, she came to see me yesterday or Yes, she came yesterday or Yes, she came or only Yes or No.
Yes/No prakaar ke prashnA sakaaraatmak yaa nakaaraatmak ho sakate hai. Aise prashno kaa jawaab dete vakt, Yes yaa No ke baad vaakya ko bhee kuchh log mooD yaa paristhiti ke anusaar dohraate hai - jaise - PrashnA - Kyaa vah kal tumase milane aai? Jawaab - Haan, vah kal mujhase milane aai yaa Haan, vah kal aai yaa Haan, vah aai yaa kewal Haan yaa Naa.
